Antique Omega Silver Pocket Watch

Antique Omega silver pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Omega name and the serial number, 3,969,963, dates it back to 1911.

The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has details of medals won at the Paris Grand Prix exhibition of 1900. There is a little scratching to this inner cover, where it has been opened in the past.

The watch measures 49mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are small Continental hallmarks inside both of the case backs. The hinged case back is decorated, although has worn with age, and there is unusual decoration around the side of the case. The inside of the case back has the early Omega logo.

The case back has some unevenness but other than that, it is all in lovely condition.

The acrylic lens is in very nice condition.

The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, large subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute track. There is a little marking but all very acceptable for a piece of its age.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
