Gents 9ct gold Accurist wrist watch, 1965.

The watch has a good quality Swiss 21-jewel ETA automatic movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Accurist name.

The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Edinburgh 1965, together with Continental hallmarks. Overall the case is in good condition with just general light surface marks, and a hint of unevenness to the centre of the back. Free from any personal inscriptions.

The lens is in lovely condition.

The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, seconds sweep and an early form of quickset date (initially set by repeatedly moving the hands backwards and forwards between 12 midnight and 8.25pm until the desired date is reached).

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in an Accurist presentation box.
