this fine chest of drawers is constructed in two parts for ease of movement, the top section with two short and two long drawers ( one fitted ) , the bottom with two long drawers, all with working locks and keys, teak linings, recessed brass handles and brass bindings and raised on original screw on turned feet.
with a very pleasing colour and lovely patina this handsome chest has normal marks etc commensurate with age and use but overall it is in good sound condition and comes with provenance having been in the same family since it was made for the original owner who fought in the Boer War.
