This wonderful large oil on canvas portrait is attributed to Henry Spurrier Parkman. There is an Appley Bros Ltd gallery label verso ‘10 Ryder Street, St James’s London SW1’ inscribed ‘Ref No:-429...1965. Henry Spurrier Parkman. Portraits of William Francis, Charles Henry and Edward Reade Firmstone. Picture cleaned and restored in 1965 - signature lost during restoration. The garved gitwood and gesso frame has some losses as can be seen in photographs.
