French Louis XV Style Marble Top Commode

1920 - 1940
Description

Circa 1930, French Louis XV style kingwood and mahogany marble top commode. The serpentine shaped top in pink and beige scagliola above the bombe front chest. With graduated drawers with rococo brass handles and solid figured oak drawer liners, and the drawer fronts with panels of mirror matching kingwood with crossbanded edges. The sides of the chest with panels of mirror matching kingwood and ormolu mounts. These extend down to the canted tapering feet finishing with brass sabots.
