Description

Antique 1911 Elgin stem winding pocket watch.

The watch has a nice quality 17 jewel stem-winding movement , grade 387, which is working well. The movement is signed with the Elgin name and the serial number 15685111 which dates it back to 1911.

The watch measures 48.7mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold filled and was made by the Dueber Watch Case Company. It has a screw-on bezel and back, another good sign of quality. The case has light surface marking from use and a couple of small “dings” to the back but overall it is in nice condition for a 1911 piece.

The acrylic lens is in nice condition.

The signed double sunk dial has some very faint hairline cracks if viewed through a jewellers loupe but otherwise it is in nice condition.

The watch has its original blued steel hands.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
