Gents 1940s Nivrel wrist watch by Marvin.

The watch has a Swiss 15-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the handsomely shaped lugs. The main body of the case is chrome plated while the case back is stainless steel. There is some rubbing and marking to the case but overall the condition is good for a 1950s piece.

The lens is in lovely condition.

The dial is signed Nivrel. It is in its original finish with original hands, subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers. There is some age related marking to the dial but again, not too detrimental, the watch has a charming appearance.

Nivrel was founded in 1936 by the already established watch manufacturer Marvin. Movements were either provided by existing suppliers (such as the A Schild movement we have in this particular watch), or produced in-house.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
