The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1960s.
The watch has an English 15-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely.
The watch measures 33.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and was made by the British Watch Case Company for Smiths. It is hallmarked for Edinburgh 1967. The back of the watch has a long service inscription from British Railways. The back of the watch has light surface marks.

The lens is in lovely condition.
There is a little marking to the dial, mainly around the centre.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
