1930s Silver Pocket Watch with Chain

1930s silver pocket watch with chain.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for London 1930 with a case maker’s mark for Rotherham & Sons. The case has some unevenness to the hinged back but otherwise is in good condition.

The watch has a Swiss seven jewel stem-winding movement, which would have been imported by Rotherhams, which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.

The dial is in beautiful condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute track.

The watch comes with a single silver chain, 29cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. The T-bar is hallmarked for 1894. The clasp is hallmarked although the date letter is rubbed, maker’s mark William Walter Cashmore. The graduated links have the lion silver mark, and one link has the maker’s mark for William Walter Cashmore.

Also included is a circular silver fob, free from personal inscriptions.

The chain and fob weigh 23g.

The watch and chain will come in a new presentation box.
