The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The watch has a Swiss 15-jewel stem-winding movement, Revue calibre 31, which is working well. The movement is signed Vertex Revue. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop.
The front of the case has a small central lens surrounded by dark blue enamel filled Roman numerals. The case has minor surface marking but overall, it is in nice condition. The back has a long service presentation from the East Midlands Gas Board.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside, the glass lens is in nice condition.
The white enamel dial is signed Vertex and in nice condition.
The watch has blued steel hands, including the special half hunter hour hand designed so that the time can be read when the front cover is closed.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
