Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the Regency era.
It has an upper tier with elegant shaped carved supports, a decorative brass gallery and the original mirror back. This sits above a beautifully figured top with two cupboard doors, both having silk linings and decorative brass grill, key with working lock. The sides have floral decoration, scrolled corbels and moulded edges. The interior comprises of two shelves and this wonderful antique cabinet stands on turned bun feet. The Rosewood has aged to a rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
