The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1900s.
The watch has a stem-winding movement, Ensign grade, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number, 10,728,454, dates it back to 1901. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has some surface marking.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is signed American Waltham Watch Company. There are a few little “dings” to the front and a couple to the back but they are fairly shallow. The front cover has beautiful elaborate monogrammed initials.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside there is a glass lens which is in nice condition.
The white enamel dial has several faint hairline cracks although not noticeable to the naked eye.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
