Description

Antique silver Essor pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement, signed Essor, which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and has Swiss 800 silver hallmarks inside the case back. Originally there would have been a rose gold wash around the bezel and the edge of the case back but, over the years, much of this has rubbed off, something we often see with galonne cases. Overall the case is in good condition, just a couple of slight knocks.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.

The signed dial has a few hairline cracks but they are faint. Ornate pin-set hour and minute hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
