Description

An 18th century oak dresser or server. The cross banded drawers with original swan neck brasses. Cabriole front legs with plain stiles to the rear. Shaped front apron. Lovely model of dresser which has never had a rack. Super waxed patina. Old splice to both rear legs the larger one shown. The top has an old water stain and some splits. The paler elongated ‘stripes’ are sap wood which tends to colour differently overtime. We have taken the photograph with quite a lot of light to illustrate the imperfections in the top, however they do not look as accentuated in normal light. The overall colour is so good that I have chosen not to take out the imperfections and re-polish it.
