Here we have an outstanding early 18th century French Oak sideboard or dresser c1740. As you can see the dresser has stunning colour and patina. As a dealer it is a real pleasure to find a piece that ticks all the boxes. This is the best of its type we have ever had through our stock. The proportions, design originality and colour are second to none. There is a plank top with thumb moulded edge. There are three short drawers which retain the original lock(centre) escutcheons and handles. The handles, escutcheons and hinges are of remarkable quality. There are two cupboard doors with mitred surrounds which open to reveal open internal space and a single shelf. There is a beautiful carved scroll work shaped frieze below and shaped legs. The ends are beautifully panelled. There are original backboards which are also panelled. A super example in great retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 156 cm wide 61 cm deep 99 cm high.
