Description

A George III period tall boy or chest on chest. Flame veneered drawer fronts of Cuban mahogany, fitted with original gilt brass handles, much of the original gilding remains. Oak lined drawers. Original shaped ogee bracket feet. Inlaid detail in boxwood and ebony to the canted corners and the cornice. Super waxed patination of a piece that has not been re-polished, but waxed over many decades. Good proportions, low waisted with a more unusual arrangement of two short over four long drawers to the top section. Original backboards.C 1790.
