Michael Youll Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
In all my years of trading I haven't come across something like this before.
The drawers are deep enough to hold a bottle of wine. Im quite sure with this piece for furniture that somebody had it custom made for a very particular function. This is totally original and has never been adapted.
The drawers are 30cm deep.
