The frieze is of multi reed design. The chest stands on large heavy duty swept out bracket feet with a stepped base. The drawers are all cock beaded with old but not original oval brass plate handles. The four long drawers are ash and pine lined whilst the 3 secret drawers are all mahogany lined. Incredibly the chest has NO splits to the ends or top which is a testimont to how well it was made. Highest quality cabinetmaking throughout.
The chest is in very good clean condition and has mellowed to a lovely light mahogany colour. Original finish and patination with a waxed finish.
