Superb Antique Victorian Mahogany Linen Press on Chest C1880 Wdb300/5.4

Description

Superb antique victorian mahogany linen press on chest and dating form aorund 1880. Of quality mahogany it has a flared cornice top with deep serpentine frieze and above two arched panelled doors with flamed mahogany panels with working key. Internally there is a central divide with three fixed shelves to each side (these could easily be removed and a hanging rail fitted if required. To each side of the doors there are carved corbal supports. The base is moulded to the top with two short drawers over two long drawers all of which are beech lined and with original brass handles and escutcheons. It stands on a plinth base on bun feet.

The top separates form the base for ease of transporting

A lovely victorian clothes linen press in very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the mahogany and oozing the charm and character of the period.

Measures: 79.5" high X 23" deep X internal depth (top) 17" X 52" wide
