Description

Antique J W Benson pocket watch and chain.

The watch has a Swiss 15-jewel stem-winding movement, identified as a Revue Thommen, which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the retailer's name, J W Benson, London.

The movement is protected by an inner dust cover which is engraved with the wording, '13th October 1988, Lucky for Some'; the later inscription suggests the watch has been handed down as an heirloom.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is in lovely condition with just minor surface marking, nothing too detrimental at all.

The watch glass is in lovely condition.

The signed dial is in lovely condition with original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch comes with a single chain, 22cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.

The watch and chain come in a new presentation box.
