The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1880s.
The watch has a stem-winding lever set movement, A M W Co grade, which is working nicely.

The watch itself measures 54mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold filled and is the Montauk model made for Waltham by the Fahys Watch Case Co. The case has a screw on front and back. There is light surface marking but overall it is in nice condition for an 1880s piece.

The glass lens is in nice condition with only light marking.
The enamel dial is signed Waltham and is in nice condition. Original lever set blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
