Gents 1950s Audax Aquaprufe wrist watch by Fortis Watch Co, in super condition.

The watch has a Swiss 21-jewel automatic movement, signed Fortis, which is working nicely. Audax was a brand name used by the Fortis Watch Company.

The watch measures 33.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is gold plated and it is in lovely condition. The case back is stainless steel and it is signed inside with the Fortis name. Despite having the name of Aquaprufe, this watch should be kept away from water and moisture, it is not waterproof.

The lens is in super condition, as is the signed dial in its original finish with original dauphine shaped hands, centre seconds sweep and outer minute markers.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
