Victorian Serpentine Burr Walnut Credenza

19th century
Description

Circa 1860, Victorian serpentine-front burr and figured walnut credenza. The shaped top in mirror matched figured walnut with kingwood cross banding and a faux rosewood moulded fore-edge over a cross banded frieze. The serpentine sides, each with 3 open shelves, flanked by inlaid and fluted columns. The central door with an arched panel and ormolu handle opens to shelved interior, all supported on a moulded inlaid base.
