Description

A good early 18th century walnut chest of two short and three long drawers on bracket feet. The quartered top surrounded by an inlaid 'herringbone' design and wide walnut cross-banding, above drawers with further banding and 'thumb-nail' moulded divides. Oak sides and drawer linings.

Straight out of private house in un-restored condition offered at trade price as seen. Recommended restoration would include numerous small veneer patches around edges of drawers and edges of carcass (no visible central patches needed), some repairs to damaged mouldings, drawer runners and a general clean and tidy up of he surface.
