Antique Carved Walnut Pendant Barometer

A late Victorian carved walnut cased pendant style aneroid barometer with skeletonised movement C.1890. Superbly carved decoration to the surround with ebonised dished band to the inner edge. Turned half columns to the sides of the thermometer, with matching decorative carving to the arched top. Cream enamel scale to the barometer with skeletonised visible aneroid movement, sat behind bevel edge glass with a brass bezel. Original mercury action thermometer. Full working order, superb rich colour and polish. Measures 9" wide x 20" long. x 2" deep.
