The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1950s.
The movement is fully signed and the serial number 9,232,125 dates it back to 1954.

The watch measures 35mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for London 1956 together with the name Baume, importers of Longines watches to the UK and British Empire. The case is in good condition with just light surface marking and a slight small indentation to the back, nothing serious at all. There are no personal inscriptions.

The lens is in lovely condition.
The signed dial has its original dauphine shaped hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers. There is a little marking to the dial but it is minor.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
