Antique William 1v Large Mahogany Scotch Chest of Drawers with Secret Compartment C1820 Wpv4500/6.4

Description

Superb antique william 1v large mahogany scotch chest of drawers and dating form aorund 1820. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a deep flared cornice top which lifts open to reveal a secret compartment (please see photo). It has a deep frieze supported on either side by a turned column and with five long graduating drawers all of which are mahogany lined and with later brass handles. It stands on a plinth base on turned feet.

It is in very good condition and has a lovely deep colour and patination to the mahogany and oozes the charm and character of the period.

It separates into two pieces for transporting.

Measures: 67" high X 27" deep X 53" wide
