An antique silver Waltham pocket watch & chain.

The watch has a key-wound movement which is working nicely. ( A winding key is included )The movement is the Am.W.Co grade and the serial number 18451901 which tells us that it was made in 1912. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover with some surface scratches from use.

The watch measures 53.2mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and has Birmingham hallmarks for 1914 with a maker’s mark for the Dennison Watch Case Company . The case has light surface marking from use and some mild bruising to the back but overall it is in nice condition for an 1910s piece.

The glass lens is in nice condition with only a couple of small nibbles to the bottom edge.

The enamel dial is is signed Waltham and is in nice condition.

The watch has its original gold hands and a blued steel sub seconds hand.

The watch comes on a graduated silver albert chain which measures 34 cm long including the T bar and clasp.

The T bar is later and stamped .925 ( sterling silver)

The chain weighs 51 grams.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
