1919 Waltham P S Bartlett pocket watch.

The watch has a quality P S Bartlett grade 17 jewel adjusted stem-winding movement which is working nicely. As well as being fully signed, the movement has the serial number 23,035,053 which dates it back to 1919. Beautifully patterned nickel finish movement, Church 1892 patent regulator and Breguet hairspring. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover, there is a little surface marking where the back has been opened in the past.

The Bartlett grade was named after Patten Sargeant Bartlett who was one of the early employees of the Boston Watch Company which went on to become the Waltham Watch Company. He subsequently left Waltham to work for the National Watch Company at Elgin Illinois but eventually returned to Waltham to work as a salesman before opening his own wholesale business.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The Keystone case is 14k gold filled and is in lovely condition.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.

The signed dial has one faint hairline between 11 and 12 but it is not too detrimental. Original blued steel hands.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
