The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1960s.
The watch has a 15-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The watch was made at the Cheltenham factory, England.
The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for London 1963 with a maker's mark for Smiths Clocks & Watches. The case is in lovely condition, the back of the watch has a 45 years long service inscription from British Railways.

The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial is in lovely original condition with original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a presentation box from Bears of the The Promenade in Cheltenham.
