The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The movement is fully signed and the serial number 21716589 which dates it back to around 1917. It is working nicely and is all protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50.7mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is the Star model made by the Dennison Watch Case Company. The case has light surface marking from use and a couple of small "dings" to the back but overall it is in nice condition for a 1917 piece. The front cover has enamel filled Roman numerals around a central lens.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside there is a glass lens which is in nice condition.
The signed dial is in nice condition. Blued steel hands including the special half hunter hour hand so that the time can be read when the front cover is closed.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
