The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The movement is a Cyma ref 999 by Tavannes which is signed Admiral, a brand name registered by Tavannes of La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has a little scratching where it has been opened in the past.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the loop. The case is
gold plated and it was made in Birmingham by the Dennison Watch Case Company, the company supplied various watch makers with cases. The case is in good condition, just very slight unevenness to the hinged case back.
The watch glass is in lovely condition.
The dial is in lovely condition with original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
