Description

Antique Waltham pocket watch, 1891.

The watch has a grade 3 stem-winding movement which was in production from 1887 right through until 1906. The serial number on this movement, 4,796,296, dates this particular watch back to 1891.

The watch measures 54mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop so slightly larger than a standard 50mm pocket watch. The case is rose gold filled and and is nicely decorated, the pattern to the back is quite rubbed just from years of being in a pocket. There are a couple of “dings” to the screw on case back.

The watch glass is in lovely condition.

The signed dial has a short hairline underneath the subsidiary seconds dial and but it is faint.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
