The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
Birks was established by Henry Birks in 1879 when he opened a small jewellery boutique in Montreal. The company was, and continues to be, incredibly successful and is very well regarded.

The watch has an American 15-jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely.
The watch measures 46mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop.
It is in very nice condition. The inside of the screw-on case back has initials and a date of January 1920.

The watch glass is in lovely condition.
The dial, signed with the Birks name, is in super condition and has its original bued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
