Description

A beautiful mahogany chest of drawers dating from the early 19th Century. Excellent quality and very well made with a lovely warm patina. It has an attractive bow-front and is set on bracket feet. The drawers have brass plate handles which, although they are not original, look good and are in-keeping with the style of the chest. The drawers open well and are generally clean and tidy inside.

It is in good condition for its age and displays well. There are the usual small signs of wear, some minor marks and knocks but nothing detrimental. Over time the redness of the mahogany has faded and left an attractive pale colour. It has been well maintained and as such there are some repairs to the veneer around the drawers and other small repairs but overall it is a good sturdy chest.
