Description

Antique silver pocket watch, 1928.

The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement, possibly by Meyer & Studeli, which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the loop. The case is silver and it is hallmarked inside both of the case backs for Birmingham 1928, with a case maker's mark for the English watch case maker Aaron Dennison. The Dennison Watch Case Company supplied cases to many watch makers. The case is in good condition with just the odd minor mark, and the engine turned detail is still nice and crisp on the hinged case back.

The watch glass is in good condition.

The dial has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track. There are a few hairline cracks but they are faint.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
