It has a moulded lift up lid with key with working lock above six graduating mahogany lined beautifully figured drawers with moulded edges and turned handles. This antique chest is particularly unusual due to the fact that it has double hinged sides and beautifully carved corbels. This breathtaking piece stands on a moulded plinth and still owns the original backboards. It comes with charm, character and slightly bowed sides. The mahogany has been finished to a rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
