Gents Eterna bumper automatic wrist watch.

The watch has a bumper automatic movement which is working nicely. Early automatic movements such as this one relied on the rotor ‘bumping’ backwards and forwards between two springs to maintain the power within the movement. Later automatic watches have the fully rotational rotor. The movement has the serial number 3329609 dates it back to 1948.

The watch measures 32mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is stainless steel and it is in good condition. The screw-on case back is signed Eterna, it states that the watch is waterproof but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water and moisture.

The lens is in lovely condition.

The signed dial is in its original finish although quite worn and faded now.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
