The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1950s.
The movement is signed with the Record name.
Record were one of 12 companies asked to submit designs for watches to be worn by the British military in the 1940s. Record based their design on the 022-18 calibre with various upgrades.

The watch measures 33.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is gold plated and there is a little wear and marking if you look quite closely. The stainless steel screw-on case back states that the watch is waterproof but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water and moisture.
The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial is in its original finish and it is in lovely condition.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
