The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has a few surface scratches.

The watch measures 47mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks for 900 silver inside all three covers. The inner back cover has the Longines logo. Overall the case is in good condition, just a few little marks to the back but nothing serious at all.

The front cover has a small central lens surrounded by blue enamel filled Roman numerals. The small button on the stem pushes in to open the front cover.
Inside there is a glass lens which is in lovely condition, as is the dial.

The watch comes with a silver watch chain, 25cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. The T-bar has a date letter for 1925. Each of the links has the silver lion mark.
The watch comes in one of the nicest antique presentation boxes we have seen, from the retailer H L Brown of London and Sheffield. The outside of the box is a little tatty, commensurate with its age, but the inner lid has a fascinating advertisement.
