Description

Gents 1930s 9ct gold Waltham wrist watch.

The watch has a seven jewel hand-winding movement, grade 361, which is working nicely. The nicely patterned movement is fully signed and the serial number 28,099,362 dates it back to 1933.

The watch measures 32mm wide excluding the winding crown and 32mm high excluding the lugs. The case is 9 carat rose gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Glasgow 1934 with an unusual case maker's mark &RHJS (this is quite an unusual case maker's mark for a Waltham watch, we have only seen a handful of examples). The case is in good condition, just a slight gap on the one edge which has opened up over the years.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial has blued steel hands, a feature red number 12 and an outer minute track. There are a few hairline cracks.

A later leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
