Description

This is a handsome 19th century chest on chest with beautiful hand painted gilt chinoiserie decoration to the front and sides. The chest has a wonderful swan neck pediment with gilded highlights, blind fretwork pierced detail and a central bronze finial. The cabinet is in excellent order and the drawers are all in good condition, running freely. The cabinet is in two parts, the upper section having attractive canted corners and the base cabinet with canted columns to the sides and being raised on elegant bracket feet.

The chest is a most imposing piece of furniture measuring 204 cms to the height of the pediment and 110 cms wide at the widest point by 53 cms deep.
