Gents Bentima Star wrist watch, c1960.

Bentima was a British clock manufacturing company. At one stage they were also the UK importers for Oris watches. Subsequently they started marketing their own watches under the name Bentima Star.

The watch has a 17-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. There are a couple of empty screw holes in the movement which you can see in the photo, however these retaining screws are not required in this case as the movement is held in place by the retaining ring.

The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is chrome plated and the front is in good condition. There is some wear on the back, around the opening to the movement. The case back is stainless steel and is states that the watch is waterproof, however our advice is to keep it away from water and moisture.

The lens is in lovely condition.

The signed dial is in good original condition with original dauphine shaped hands and centre seconds.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
