The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The chain measures 33cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.

Also included is a 1931 silver fob which is engraved on the reverse, 'HECL, 1931, Hereford Lads Club'.
The Club is now an independent football club but originally they enjoyed both gymnastics and boxing, and subsequently cricket and junior football. The club suffered a serious fire in 1940, destroying the club house and all associated records. However the club house was later rebuilt on donated land with the aid of charitable donations from local business men. The Club continued to gain popularity with upto 170 children turning up each night in the 1960s and 1970s. Happily the Club still exists today.
