Description

An antique 1919 silver Waltham pocket watch.

The watch has a key-wound movement which is working nicely. ( A winding key is included )The movement is the Sterling grade and the serial number 21768206 tells us that it was made in 1917. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 54mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and has Chester hallmarks for 1919 with a maker’s mark for Isaac Jabez Theo Newsome . The case has light surface marking from use but overall it is in nice condition for an 1910s piece.

The glass lens has light surface marking from use although very acceptable.

The signed enamel dial has a very faint hairline crack between the top of the sub seconds dial and the centre of the dial but otherwise it is in nice condition.

The watch has gold hands and a blued steel sub seconds hand.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
