Mabel Marston (flourished 1885-1903)
Mabel Marston was a London based portrait and flower painter. She spent the majority of her life working and living in Maida Vale where she had a studio at Blomfield Road.
She exhibited at all the principal London exhibitions, including nine works - all of floral subjects - at the Royal Academy and 2 works at the Manchester Municipal Gallery. She also exhibited eight works at the Royal Society of British Artists, seven at the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, fifteen at the Ridley Art Club, four works at the Royal Society of Artists in Birmingham 4 works, one at the Society of Women Artists.
Two of her works exhibited at an Exhibition of Women Artists at the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours were famously stolen from the exhibition in 1928, one of which had been purchased by Princess Mary (the daughter of King George V). She was a member of The Three Arts Clu
