Large antique 1897 Waltham pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement, grade 1 , which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 7492994 which dates it back to 1897.

The watch itself measures 55.2mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold filled and was made by the Hudson Watch Case Co. The case has a screw on front and back. The case has nicely engraved foliate detail to the back. The case has light surface marking from use and some mild bruising to the back but overall it is in nice condition for an 1890s piece.

The acrylic lens is in nice condition.

The ornate enamel dial is signed American Waltham Watch Co. The dial has a couple of very faint hairline cracks at 4 o'clock but otherwise it is in nice condition.

The watch has gold hands and a blued steel sub seconds hand ( the minute hand is later although antique).

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
