A 19thc Camphor Wood Campaign Chest

Description

A 19thC camphor wood campaign chest of exceptional colour and grain. Two long drawers (the top drawer is a single long drawer) with flush brass military handles. The drawers are constructed with good dovetail joints. Brass side carrying handles and brass escutcheons. The timber chosen to make this trunk is striking and the sides top and back are all of single pieces with superb grain and no cracking. This low form of chest is unusual and it was never part of a larger chest.

Perfect for a wide screen tv in the modern home.
