Spectacular Victorian S & H Jewell Mahogany Antique Wellington Chest

This Spectacular late 19th Century Mahogany Antique Wellington Chest dates from around 1890 in the Victorian period and is stamped by the renowned makers S & H Jewell. It has a beautifully figured top above seven graduating Mahogany lined drawers all with the original brass swan neck handles and are inlaid with Kingwood cross banding along with boxwood and ebony string inlay. This fine antique chest of drawers has a hinged locking arm with key and working lock. It stands on shaped feet and is exceptionally desirable to look at along with being a very useful piece of antique furniture. The mahogany is a rich warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
