Description

1930s Nidor pocket watch and chain.

The watch has a seven jewel (two adjustments) Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed Nidor. This was one of the brand names used by Buser & Cie, a family owned business founded in 1892 in Niederdorf, Switzerland. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 48mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is nickel. The front is in good condition while the case back has some unevenness.

The watch glass is in good condition.

The dial is signed with the name of the original retailer of the watch, S Child of Bull Street, Birmingham. The dial is in lovely condition and has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch comes with a single chain, 34cm long including the T-bar and the chain.

The watch and chain will come in a new presentation box.
